Trip To Granada

Many Holidaymakers in Nerja elect to spend one or two nights in the wonderfully atmospheric city of Granada. The city is about 34 miles from Nerja. There is a good bus service, with several services a day. By car, the journey takes about a mile, and is very interesting.
Granada was for hundreds of years under the control of the Moors. There are two main attractions, the magnificent Alhambra Palace, described as the "jewel of moorish spain", and the equally magnificent Gothic Renaissance Granada Cathedral.
It is possible to visit Granada by organised day trips from Nerja, but there are so many things to see and do, and stay in Granada is much better. Many tourists on a two week holiday book 3 nights in Granada, and 11 nights in Nerja.
