Nice Carnival 2010 Calender of Events

The 2010 Nice Carnival starts on February 12. This years schedule of events is:

• Festivities begin Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

• Battle of Flowers parades: Feb. 13, 17, 20, 24 and 27 at 2:30 p.m.

• Carnival Parade: Feb. 14, 16, 21 and 28 at 2:30 p.m.

• Parade of Lights: Feb. 13, 20, 23, 27 at 9 p.m.

• Closing festivities: Feb. 28 beginning at 7 p.m. with the burning of the king and fireworks at 9 p.m.

Reserved seating costs 25 euros for the Battle of Flowers parade; 20 euros each for the Carnival Parade and Parade of Lights. Entrance to the Promenade des Anglais for the flower parade is 10 euros. For ages 6-12 reserved seating costs 10 euros and general admission costs 5 euros; children younger than 6 attend parades free. A two-event special costs 40 euros for reserved seating at the Carnival Parade or Parade of Lights and the Battle of Flowers parade, excluding Saturdays.
