Is this the end for the Nerja Horse Drawn Carriages?

The Horse Drawn Nerja carriages have been a feature of Nerja for many yearts, and have proved to be very popular with tourists. Many thousands must have taken a strol from their Nerja Hotels, Nerja Apartments, or their Nerja Villas for a gentle ride around town.
THe Carriages could be hired near the Balcone De Europa, but this area has now been fully pedestrianised, and they have to move. Needless to say, they are not happy, and have been protesting outside the Town Hall against the decision to relocate the carriages to the Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos, a move the drivers believe will be detrimental to their livelihoods.
The drivers have suggested several alternative sites but these have all been rejected by the Council. The Council in turn has offered ‘collaboration’ and part-time employment to the drivers.
Lets hope a solution can be found
