Easter In Nerja

Easter is a very important time in Nerja, and throughout Spain.
Religious processions take place every day from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. A giant float of the Virgin Mary is carried from the El Salvador Church to the sea, and back again.
To lighten the mood, there is also a very enjoyable Easter fancy dress parade and competition.
The celebrations go on from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.
